One year with the family · April 2026

This is Bruno.

He's a rescue. He's also the reason PawValet exists.

Bruno came home with us in April 2025 — abandoned by a backyard breeder, about a year and a half old as far as the vet could tell. He weighed twenty-five kilos. Most of it was fear. For the first month he slept in a corner with his back to the wall and his eyes on the door.

In the year since, we tried four different walkers for him — a building gardener, a friend's nanny, a security guard, a Pakistani gentleman from a community WhatsApp group. Some were wonderful. Some never came back. None of them ever made us feel calm when we were at work.

So we built the service we wished existed when Bruno first came home. The photo updates, the climate rules, the WhatsApp ping when he's safely back inside — every detail here exists because Bruno needed it first.

We don't want to be Dubai's biggest dog walking service. We want to be the one your vet recommends.

vii. For walkers

Love dogs? Earn properly for it.

We're building Dubai's first proper dog walking workforce. Real visas, real insurance, real pay — not cash-in-hand chaos. Walkers earn AED 45–80 per walk plus 100% of tips. We take 10–15%, far less than any global platform.

We'll be in touch within 5 working days.

viii. Things people ask

Honest answers to the hard questions.

When does PawValet actually launch?

We go fully operational in October 2026 — timed for the start of Dubai's cooler walking season. Right now we're building the technology and collecting early waitlist interest. The neighbourhoods with the most signups go live first, and the Founding 100 lock in 50% off their first month plus priority booking when October hits.

Why are walks 50 minutes — not 30 or 60?

Because the rhythm is what makes the service reliable. Your walker spends 50 minutes with your dog, then has 10 minutes to wrap up, write your WhatsApp update, and arrive at the next family — exactly on the hour. Every booking starts on time. No walker is ever rushing your dog because they're late for the next one. Predictable rhythm is what separates a real service from a freelance scramble.

How is this different from cash-in-hand neighbourhood walkers?

Three things: insurance (AED 2M on every booking, not a vague claim), vetting (background check, in-person interview, handling test — most applicants don't make it through), and a paper trail (every walk has a map, photos, and a WhatsApp log so if anything goes wrong, you're not piecing it together yourself).

What happens when it's 45°C in August?

From May to October we only walk between 06:00–08:00 and 18:00–22:00. Walkers check paw-pad temperature on the pavement before stepping off the kerb. If it's over the limit, the walk becomes a shaded loop, an indoor enrichment session, or it gets rescheduled — your call. You won't be charged for a walk that didn't happen.

Can I request the same walker every time?

Yes — and we strongly encourage it for nervous or reactive dogs. The Morning Rise subscription locks in the same walker seven mornings a week. Pay-per-walk customers can star a preferred walker and we'll prioritise matching when they're available.

What does the all-in price actually include?

The base rate goes to your walker. We then add 10% insurance (commercial public liability + pet-injury cover), 10% platform service (everything from vetting to dispatch to dispute resolution), and 5% UAE VAT. Every line is itemised at checkout — no surge pricing, no holiday surcharges that aren't disclosed upfront.

Do you walk restricted breeds?

We follow Dubai Municipality regulations. Pit Bulls, Japanese Tosas, and wolf hybrids are banned in the UAE and we will not handle them. Mastiffs, Rottweilers, and other regulated breeds we walk solo only, on a short non-retractable leash and muzzled in public, as the law requires. We'll confirm your dog's status during onboarding.
